The EnviroDome Ventilation Greenhouse is designed for humid, tropical environments.
In 2008, EAC started exporting its Ventilation Genius series to East Africa – Kenya, Ethiopia and Uganda.
In the Rift Valley the weather during the dry season is hot, dry, arid and suffers from tornadoes. Rainfall during the wet season comes in short spurts causing gluts and dearths and making it very difficult to maintain productive farming.
The Ventilation series of greenhouses are constructed to maximize production in these areas, using rain gutters, GDIS, sun shades and insect netting, proper ventilation and construction that can withstand winds up to 150 km/hr.
In Kenya, after several tornadoes, the farms with EAC greenhouses remained intact, while neighboring farms had their greenhouses completely up-rooted.
The EnviroDome greenhouses are constructed on steel frames using specially designed plastic nets and gravity-fed drip irrigation. They provide precise control of the air, temperature, water, humidity, plant nutrition, carbon dioxide and light without using any electricity. The inside environment (microclimate) of the greenhouse is controlled for growth factors like light, temperature, humidity and carbon dioxide concentration using nothing more than plastic sheets and nets, which also prevent weed and pest infiltration.
Is a basic unit with 2 side windows
Similar to the Genius 2 with additional 1 window on top
